About The Position

Job Title: Music Teacher Reports To: Principals of Schools Location: Tuttle and Ferrara Elementary Schools Education: The successful candidate must hold current a valid Connecticut teacher certificate, 049-Music, PK-12. Salary: As stipulated in the EHEA/Board Agreement Responsibilities: Experience in choral and general music. Plans, coordinates rehearsals, and directs students in musical programs and performances for school events. Ability to relate successfully with staff, families and students from diverse backgrounds, experiences and skill levels. Conducts ongoing assessment of student musical learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed. Performs additional duties, where appropriate, which are assigned within the scope of employment and certification. Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
