Music Teacher (Part Time, In Person)
About The Position
General Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development, plans and facilitates collaborative and interactive instructional sessions focused on a variety of music subjects including guitar, chorus, drumline, and digital music production. Major Duties:Meets regularly with the Director of Educational DevelopmentPlans and facilitates guitar instructional sessionsAssists students in the development of skills including drumline, chorus, guitar, and digital music productionMaintains consistent communication the Director of Educational DevelopmentModels appropriate academic and social behaviorsPerforms other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to work with students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels.
- Possess good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility.
- Knowledge and ability to demonstrate skill in a variety of musical areas including history, culture, and instrument specific instruction.
- Must be able to prepare students of a variety of experience levels.
- Ability to collect and analyze data to drive future instruction.
- Ability to work independently applying critical thinking skills and problem solving to various situations.
