About The Position

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is a private behavioral healthcare center and offers the most advanced behavioral health, diagnostic treatment services for adults, adolescents and older adults in both inpatient and outpatient programs. A commitment to excellence in diagnosis, treatment and education – these concepts are at the core of Hampton Behavioral Health Center’s mission. Hampton is currently looking for a Per Diem Music or Recreation or Art Therapist. Provides direct patient care on assigned units; including Creative Therapy group sessions and doctor ordered individual assessments sessions. Completes Creative Therapy documentation including assessments, group summaries, and billing within time constraints. Serves as a member of the treatment team. Understands and utilizes principles of growth/development for adolescent patients and the age specific needs of geriatric patients.

Requirements

• Music Therapist: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Music Therapist.
• Recreation Therapist: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
• Art Therapist: A Master’s Degree from an accredited school and Registered Art Therapist.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Inpatient psychiatric experience and ability to work with large groups preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care on assigned units.
• Conducts Creative Therapy group sessions.
• Performs doctor ordered individual assessments sessions.

• Serves as a member of the treatment team.
