About The Position

The Ohio State University at Newark seeks a part time semester lecturer to teach Music for Elementary Teachers and History of Rock ‘n’ Roll courses in Autumn 2026. Responsible for facilitation of in-class learning activities, assessments (i.e., quizzes, exams, and homework if applicable), offering of weekly office hours, submission of grades, and resolution of any ongoing student or course issues.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent.
  • Evidence of successful teaching at a post-secondary level.

  • Familiarity with OSU’s Primary Childhood Education major and music curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitation of in-class learning activities
  • Assessments (i.e., quizzes, exams, and homework if applicable)
  • Offering of weekly office hours
  • Submission of grades
  • Resolution of any ongoing student or course issues
  • Develop and deliver courses in formats that could include in classroom, online, or hybrid.
  • Contribute to the creation and improvement of course content.
