About The Position

Oversee all musical aspects of the DroneArt series including providing musical guidance and managing any freelance members of the music and sound teams. Developing best practices for all new programs that require musical expertise. Identify artists to play in the DroneArt Series globally including but not limited to string quartets and pianists. Innovate using Digital Audio Workstations (e.g. Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton) in order to ensure DroneArt programs are scalable. Work with the Fever marketing team to make sure our new DroneArt programs make an impact in terms of ticket sales and music quality. Identify and negotiate prices for music arrangements as needed. Manage auditions to identify top performers. Help to scale music programs to other cities through developing and sharing best practices (significant opportunity for travel).

Requirements

  • Expertise in multiple Digital Audio Workstations including Logic and Protools. Additional DAW expertise including Ableton, Reaper, Cubase, and Digital Performer a plus.
  • Intermediate command of Sibelius, Dorico, and/or Finale. Musescore is a plus but not a replacement for more robust notation software.
  • Clear understanding of music theory and ability to sightread multiple instruments including piano and strings. Ability to play sightread music is a plus but not mandatory.
  • A passion for music in multiple genres, ideally classical music, jazz, and film scores.
  • Excellent knowledge of the music industry and culture.
  • Team spirit, excellent work ethic, and friendly and warm attitude!
  • Exceptional verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with and respond to analytics.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Strong propensity to take initiative and thrive on change.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional, multi-geo teams toward mutual objectives.
  • Experience in programming music or work in the music industry is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional DAW expertise including Ableton, Reaper, Cubase, and Digital Performer a plus.
