Requirements
- A master's degree in music performance with graduate level coursework in Conducting plus experience conducting and demonstrated competence OR A bachelor's degree and significant professional experience directing a large instrumental ensemble.
- Commitment to the community college mission and philosophy
- Commitment to meeting the academic needs of non-traditional students, including first generation students, older students, minority/multicultural students, and non-native speakers of English.

Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction
- Conduct assigned classes and/or labs
- Prepare lessons
- Provide course syllabus, which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavior expectations, course outline, and contact information
- Verify student enrollment and submit grades
- Prepare labs
- Enforce lab safety procedures
- Evaluate student progress
- Keep accurate record of student performance
- Provide students with timely, constructive feedback
- Provide student assistance
- Uphold required office hours
- Maintain voice-mail and e-mail communication
- Refer students to student support services
- Accommodate special-need students
- Other duties as assigned that pertain to the job description
