The museum educator will work closely with area K-12 educators, school systems, and universities to develop, coordinate, and implement school programs, curriculum materials, and teacher training on topics related to the Briscoe-Garner Museum collections and exhibits. Topics include Texas history, congressional and political history, and the history and legacies of Vice President John Nance Garner and Governor Dolph Briscoe. The museum educator will develop and present outreach programs for K-12 school audiences, facilitate school field trips to the museum, lead school group tours, and develop and present teacher training programs that meet continuing education standards for UCISD. The museum educator reports to the Briscoe-Garner Museum's Site Manager.
