About The Position

The John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art is located in Sarasota, Florida, and is a department of Florida State University. This role spends the majority of the day cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies for all public and employee spaces and restrooms on The Ringling's expansive 66 acre property with a focus on guest experience. Additional tasks may be identified or instructed by the supervisor, including driving custodial golf carts to deliver supplies, carry equipment, and remove trash/recycling. As needed, this role provides information to visitors, responds to questions, performs custodial maintenance projects, and assists with special events as assigned.

Requirements

• 9th grade education or higher.
• Valid driver's license or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods, bend/stoop, work with chemicals, and lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies for all public and employee spaces and restrooms.
• Completing additional tasks as identified or instructed by supervisor.
• Driving custodial golf carts to deliver supplies, carry equipment, and remove trash/recycling.
• Providing information to visitors and responding to questions.
• Performing custodial maintenance projects.
• Assisting with special events as assigned.
