About The Position
This position oversees all collections and exhibitions activities at the North Carolina State Capitol. Position ensures appropriate care for the collections, manages new artifact acquisitions, and maintains collections care and restoration. Also conducts research and development of new interpretive content, exhibits, and educational programs. Answers research inquiries from institutions and individuals in a timely manner. Assists with tours, visitor services, and public programs as needed and oversees historic preservation projects. Prepares text for social media posts. Prepares in-house publications such as newsletters, signage, and brochures. Occasional weekend and evening work required.
