About The Position
Long Island University is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Archivist to contribute to the implementation of grants funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC). The Archivist will play a key role in the digitization, cataloging, and transcription of U.S. presidential artifacts. This role addresses a critical need to preserve historical materials related to U.S. presidents prior to Herbert Hoover, whose archives are not part of the Presidential Library System. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, preserve critical historical records, and contribute to innovative projects that integrate archival science with artificial intelligence and interactive virtual platforms.
