The oncology clinic at Clements Ferry will be a busy clinic that sees a wide variety of oncology patients. Our clinic team will consist of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and administrative assistants who work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality and safety of care for our patients. Each clinic workflow varies depending on the clinic, but includes working as a team that includes: patient triage, in-clinic procedures, assessments, patient education, medication administration, CVC line care, obtaining EKG, and care coordination. Team members work alongside providers (including physicians, PAs and NPs) during patient clinic visits to provide the needed care our patients deserve.

Requirements

• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or Nursing License Compact.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Current South Carolina RN License or multi-state Nursing License Compact and BLS required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.
• Provide patient/family centered care using the nursing process and focusing on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment through ensuring patient privacy and responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior.
• Demonstrates the ability to function in a professional setting through active participation in a professional practice model.
• Coordinates the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services through the application of care management principles.
• Identifies clinical priorities and initiates action to improve patient outcomes.
