About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Nexton Women's Health is responsible for providing quality patient care under the direction of a physician or licensed healthcare provider in a clinical practice. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals and health history, documenting in an electronic medical record, giving injections, and assisting with minor procedures. The LPN ensures accurate calibrations, cleaning, and scheduled maintenance of clinical/lab equipment as required by OSHA, DHEC, and UMA. They maintain and review patient records, communicate plans of care, and assist with scheduling appointments and referrals based on urgency and availability. The LPN also observes, records, and reports on patients' conditions and administers prescribed treatments and tests as ordered by the physician.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program.
• Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
• Current South Carolina LPN License or compact state license.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and take vitals and health history.

• Assist with scheduling appointments and referrals.

• Instruct patients regarding treatment and medication.
• Monitor and distribute medication including samples and controlled substances.
• Prepare patients for physician exams and procedures.
