About The Position

The position involves assessing the nursing needs of patients and their families, developing, coordinating, and implementing nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers. The role includes maintaining patient records, preparing reports, supervising medication administration, and participating in quality assurance activities. The nurse will supervise and instruct paraprofessional nursing personnel, plan and evaluate nursing services in a specialized area, consult with healthcare team members, and perform outreach activities. Additionally, the nurse will monitor unit staffing levels to minimize costs and resource usage.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• One year related nursing experience.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Some positions require a valid driver's license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support prior to completion of general orientation.
• Some positions require certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
