Sev1Tech seeks a MUOS Integrator who supports operational, technical, and strategic efforts related to the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS). The ideal candidate will serve as an integrator for the MUOS waveform for the Army, working closely with Army units and stakeholders to ensure alignment of policies, procedures, and processes with overarching guidelines. This role requires a proactive leader with extensive technical expertise in satellite communications, tactical radio systems, and network management, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide critical support for mission success and operational readiness.

  • Carry out instructional and trainer functions in support of the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) Waveform.
  • Facilitate and instruct in an effective and efficient manner, both in person and virtually.
  • Conduct MUOS Initialization Training Events which include teaching each of the services the MUOS waveform offers and providing over the shoulder training as well.
  • Update training mission plans as needed and provide instruction during the Commo Sergeant Course (CSC) blocks of instruction.
  • Responsible for classroom setup and maintaining training equipment suites and other duties as assigned.
  • Achieves and maintains Assistant Instructor (AI) and Primary Instructor (PI) Certification and Annual re-certification as stated in the PM TR TPF SOP.

  • Serve as an integrator for the MUOS waveform for the Army.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of MUOS waveform and demonstrate strong technical aptitude.
  • Clearly explain complex technical subjects to diverse audiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Army units, commanders, and stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to ensure mission success and operational readiness.
  • Conduct a 3-day MUOS Workshop covering waveform characteristics and operational processes.
  • Lead a 5-day MUOS Initialization Training Event (MITE) with hands-on instruction.
  • Provide MUOS over-the-shoulder training during Capabilities Set Integration Team’s Commo Sergeant Courses, focusing on key ordering, profile management, and SIPR website walkthroughs.
  • Offer telephonic and on-site troubleshooting support for MUOS terminals and networks worldwide.
  • Support MUOS planning applications such as Atom and JENM
  • Assist Signal leaders in mission requirement assessments and integrating MUOS beyond line-of-sight waveform into planning.
  • Monitor MUOS service status, identify outages, and communicate updates.
  • Relay authorized service interruptions (ASIs) to military units.
  • Perform hands-on activities including radio configuration, key loading, and troubleshooting during MITE and exercises.
  • Review workshop materials, recommend improvements, and collaborate on planning activities.
  • Build and validate radio plans in Atom and JENM, ensuring comprehensive understanding of MUOS parameters.
  • Manage Trouble Tickets, ensuring timely resolution, documentation, and reporting.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Army communication protocols, encryption standards, RF management, and satellite systems.
  • Provide technical training, troubleshooting, and system integration support.
  • Manage satellite database accounts, ensure policy adherence, and oversee database management tasks.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and internationally up to 50% as required.
  • Active Secret clearance and able to obtain TS
  • 5 years of technical experience as a Signal SATCOM Planner
  • Bachelor's of Science degree
  • Prior military experience is a plus
  • Experience with DoD satellite management systems and operational frameworks.
  • Familiarity with operational and system architecture frameworks.
  • Proficiency with tools such as ATOM, JENM, JIST, and JSMPS.
  • Knowledge of the Army’s WCDMA satellite database and USSF procedures.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, with the ability to educate and engage diverse audiences.
