About The Position

Fehr Graham is a fast-growing Midwest engineering and environmental firm looking for a motivated and experienced Municipal Project Manager in civil engineering or environmental engineering to ensure our projects are successful. You’ll take ownership of roadway, intersection and municipal infrastructure improvements and guide clients and internal teams through every phase, from concept to construction. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Eight to 10 years of experience in municipal or transportation engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin is required or the ability to obtain licensure within the first six months of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with roadway design (urban and rural), plan preparation and WisDOT procedures.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to balance client management with project execution.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects and mentor junior engineers effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage municipal transportation projects, including roadway reconstruction, resurfacing, streetscape and traffic improvement initiatives.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and designs aligned with client expectations and funding requirements.
  • Coordinate with municipal clients, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), local utilities and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor design engineers and technical staff, ensuring deliverables meet quality assurance and quality control standards.
  • Prepare proposals, cost estimates and technical reports to support business development and project pursuits.
  • Represent Fehr Graham at public meetings, council sessions and client presentations.
  • Oversee construction administration tasks and maintain strong relationships with contractors and field personnel.
