About The Position

We are currently looking for the right team member with 6+ plus years of experience in civil engineering for our Municipal Engineering Department. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Professional License (P.E.) required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to field visits and client meetings as required.
  • 6+ years of experience in civil engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient with Stormwater Modeling Software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the project manager to one or more municipalities or other public agencies.
  • Supervise and coordinate all projects performed in the firm on behalf of the client.
  • Develop or implement engineering solutions to assist clients with improving and maintaining their infrastructure.
  • Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems or structures using computer assisted design or drawing tools.
  • Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to determine design specifications.
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data.
  • Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.
  • Perform all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.
  • Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for projects.
  • Attend regularly scheduled public meetings in the capacity of Municipal Engineer or Land Use Board Engineer.
  • Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, project status reports and developmental review projects.
  • Provide technical advice to clients regarding design, construction, or capital program modifications.
  • Support the field activities of our construction inspection staff, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination.
