About The Position
Bloomberg Philanthropies is seeking a Municipal Cybersecurity Consultant to join their Bloomberg Associates team. This position is a dynamic opportunity for professionals with a strong background in public sector technology and cybersecurity. The consultant will work closely with partner cities to enhance their cybersecurity programs and help them adopt modern, secure technology solutions. The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, crafting strategic plans, and supporting the implementation of technology projects aimed at improving cybersecurity practices among senior government officials. The consultant will engage directly with client cities to reduce risks associated with digital transformations and assist in making informed strategic technology decisions. The consultant will be responsible for developing city-specific cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps based on thorough assessments. This includes improving governance programs to elevate information to upper management and managing client teams to ensure successful project execution. The consultant will also conduct unique research tailored to client needs, collaborate with city officials and IT teams to understand their specific challenges, and create materials to present complex cybersecurity issues to senior city leaders, including CIOs and CISOs. Building relationships with city officials and stakeholders is crucial to align cybersecurity initiatives with their strategic goals. The consultant will stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in cybersecurity to ensure that strategies remain relevant and effective.
