Farnsworth Group is seeking a Municipal Civil Engineer in one of the below posting locations. In this role, you will be focused on the planning, design, and management of various civil engineering projects including water/wastewater/stormwater for local and government agencies. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2 – 5 years of Civil Engineering experience
  • FE or PE Certification, or expected to be obtained
  • Experience with IDOT, MFT and local agency projects
  • Experience or understanding of working with state and local authorities
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Ability to work both in the office and field for construction engineering and observation
  • Management, communication, and organization skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage, support and build relationships with clients and agencies
  • Work with a variety of projects for municipal client needs related to water, sewer and streets
  • Conduct field inspections, measurements or calculations
  • Perform condition assessments
  • Prepare and develop construction, design documents and plans
  • Manage projects and programs from inception to completion
