About The Position

The Multnomah County Circuit Court is hiring a Multnomah Facilities Support & Procurement Clerk. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of tasks to support efficient court operations, which includes purchasing and maintaining of office supplies and forms stock as well as the related inventory records and logs; researching requests; tracking orders and invoices for payment; making daily courier runs; performing mail room functions. You will use purchases orders and a state-issued credit card for procurement. You will receive requests for maintenance and repair of office equipment, furniture, and work areas, as well as facility-related issues/complaints. You will fix, repair, and correct issues if possible. You will research any facility related issues/complaints reported by staff and act as liaison between Multnomah County facilities personnel and courthouse staff and judges. You will ensure the maintenance, replacement, purchase, assembly, and installation of office equipment and furniture as needed. You will also organize and perform, or oversee, the movement of office furnishings, equipment, and warehouse items (within a building as well as to other buildings). All projects are tracked until completion. Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years' experience in construction or maintenance of buildings and/or a procurement role for an organization of 300+.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent life or work experience.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to three (3) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience moving large and bulky items utilizing hand trucks, rolling carts, and/or pallet jacks.
  • Experience reporting and troubleshooting facilities issues in the workplace.
  • Experience fixing, maintaining, or building office furniture for a minimum of one year.
  • Experience working in a mail room and purchasing related supplies.
  • Experience maintaining and monitoring inventory and operating inventory management systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams software.
