About The Position

Why this role matters Operate and fine‑tune complex production equipment to reliably meet quality, cost, and delivery targets—using the safest, most economical methods and in full compliance with company and regulatory requirements. You will Follow all safety rules, engage in the Safety Program, and report incidents/near misses immediately. Maintain a clean, organized workspace through daily 5S and housekeeping; perform vehicle safety checks. Run multiple machines concurrently; monitor, maintain, and adjust to prevent stoppages and reduce waste. Conduct product inspections; when defects are detected, apply quality protocols and make necessary machine corrections. Complete production charts, summarize rework and scrap, and enter data into the quality database to support positive release. Use measuring and quality inspection devices with precision. Recommend and help implement process improvements alongside your team. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on eliminating waste and lowering operating costs. Comply with BRC Food Safety Policy, GMPs, HACCP principles, ISO 14001, and OSHA rules. Help create and refine SOPs and work instructions. Operate around highly automated systems, including robotics. Perform and record daily/weekly/monthly maintenance tasks. Assist with SMA’s (trial runs), machinery installations, overhauls, and upgrades. Operate a forklift as required and provide break relief. Take on additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude; detail oriented
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Team‑oriented with strong organization, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic computer and math skills to read/interpret drawings, review specifications and work instructions, and report line performance
  • Ability to work 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts on days or off‑shifts, plus weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Adaptable to changing initiatives
  • Working knowledge of measuring devices
  • Regular standing, walking, talking, hearing; frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Occasional work in non‑permit required confined spaces (with applicable training)
  • Frequent lifting/moving up to 50 lbs; no continual lifting
  • Vision: close, distance, and color; strong hand/eye coordination

  • 2+ years in high‑volume manufacturing preferred
