About The Position

The Turret Operator position at Dorman Products involves performing various functions to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. Requirements

  • Ability to pass the motorized industrial equipment test and obtain a license.
  • Ability to use Radio Frequency (RF) scanners.
  • Good math skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to identify and differentiate part numbers.
  • Ability to use a utility knife and tape gun.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Basic keyboarding skills.
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Meet safety, accuracy, productivity, and housekeeping minimum standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate motorized industrial equipment such as sit-down turret truck.
  • Perform daily checks of equipment prior to operating.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures.
  • Use hand-held or truck mounted radio frequency (RF) scanners.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate logs or other required documentation depending on the job task being performed.
  • Follow work order instructions to perform assignments throughout the facility.
  • Follow documented procedures with accuracy.
  • Rotate position/jobs as required.
  • Replenish picking locations and stock product into bins and carton flow racking.
  • Use carts, manual and electric pallet jacks during picking, replenishment, and stocking.
  • Identify and document location discrepancies.
  • Follow procedures to ensure inventory is accurate and efficiencies are met.
  • Participate in department meetings and projects.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-organized work area.
  • Ensure timely and regular attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
