The Noblis team is advancing national security by delivering scientific, technical, and project management expertise to accelerate comprehensive research, development, and deployment of breakthrough technologies. This includes cybersecurity solutions, border and airport security systems, emergency response capabilities, and resilience programs - all unified to protect and serve the American people. As part of the Noblis team at DHS S&T, you'll contribute to missions that: Develop critical technologies that protect millions of Americans daily Enhance national security with breakthrough innovations and systems Strengthen emergency response capabilities across the nation Build resilience in our critical infrastructure using advanced technical solutions We're seeking innovators and problem solvers across all aspects of the research and development lifecycle, including but not limited to the following fields: Systems Engineers: focus on structuring requirements and facilitating innovation in cutting-edge technologies Sensors and Platform SMEs: operational experts with understanding of sensing technologies and data processing specifically around X-ray and radio frequency (RF) technologies, biodefense, biometrics, autonomy, and systems of systems Program Management Support: technology-forward project managers and coordination professionals focusing on process efficiency, quality management, and decision analytics Software Engineers: data scientists and engineers, cybersecurity experts, and automation professionals, particularly focusing on improving organizational platforms to support new algorithm approaches, technologies, and platforms At Noblis, we share a passion for excellence and innovation, and we create an environment where people can do meaningful work while maintaining the balance that keeps them energized and fulfilled. Requirements

  • There are multiple levels of opportunities for both experienced Subject Matter experts and upcoming early and mid-career professionals.
  • Most roles do require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience using Microsoft products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Applicants selected must be eligible to receive DHS Suitability and a Secret Clearance. Some roles may require a Top Secret or higher clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in learning about and researching new technical areas and comfortable with data-driven environments; the right candidate will ask questions and seek to understand both technical and programmatic issues to apply to the project.
  • Focus on continuous learning and applying new, low-code or no-code tools and techniques to improve delivery.
  • Attention to detail and excellent written and communication skills.
  • Experience facilitating resolution of customer requirements/needs, including helping to identify and document capability gaps, formulate and develop solutions, and participate in and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Demonstrated experience distilling complex topics, as well as developing and delivering briefings on technical topics.
  • Experience developing professional rapport and relationships throughout an organization.
  • Proven results-oriented, proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment, demonstrate teamwork and initiative, and function productively in the face of new assignments and the re-prioritization of existing assignments.
  • Experience providing guidance, feedback, and consulting services to federal program managers.
  • Active Security Clearance and DHS Suitability are preferred.
  • Applicants based in or willing to relocate to the National Capital Region are preferred.
