NBCUniversal's Owned Television station in the McAllen, TX area, KTLM TV, is seeking a skilled Multiplatform Producer to elevate our streaming content and newscasts. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about news, particularly breaking news, and possesses a creative vision for crafting live programs. The Multiplatform Producer will collaborate closely with managers to create innovative, timely content that resonates with our viewers. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, eager to lead a team and tackle new challenges to drive growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the best journalists in the market. In this role, you will be responsible for producing daily newscasts, live special coverage, and other programs tailored for streaming platforms. You will also edit video content as needed and clearly communicate your vision to a team of writers, anchors, and field crews to deliver dynamic and accurate stories and segments. A deep understanding of our streaming and nonlinear products is essential, and you will be expected to consistently contribute to these platforms. Working closely with directors, editors, and graphics artists, you will enhance the production value of your newscast and contribute story ideas while taking charge of daily coverage decisions. The ability to quickly adapt to late changes and aggressively cover breaking news is crucial. Additional related duties may be assigned as necessary.
