About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a PRN Multimodality Technologist to join the Imaging team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Cedar Park. This role is ideal for a technologist looking for consistent PRN coverage every Wednesday night, with the opportunity to work in a highly respected healthcare system known for innovation, teamwork, and patient-centered care. As a Multimodality Technologist, you will perform imaging procedures across two or more modalities, with at least 50% focus in an advanced modality such as CT, MR, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology, supporting both ambulatory and hospital patients.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Less than 1 year of experience required
  • ARRT (R) – Radiography
  • ARRT (CT) – Computed Tomography
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license issued by the Texas Medical Board
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer
  • This position requires certification in CT and X-Ray. Other imaging modality certifications are not applicable to this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality multimodality imaging procedures according to established protocols.
  • Maintain image quality, productivity, and workflow efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively using AIDET principles to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately; adjust equipment settings and exposure factors.
  • Adhere to all radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique standards.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Verify requisitions, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding, and consent documentation.
  • Accurately document and maintain imaging records in PACS and EMR systems.
  • Support department operations by assisting with supply management and reporting issues.
  • Participate in call coverage, if required.
