About The Position

As the Multi- Modality Radiology Technologist, you will perform all radiological procedures. You will also routinely function in other areas of the imaging department, as needed. Requirements

  • Education and training from an accredited radiology technology program or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Texas Department of Health licensure as a Certified Medical Radiological Technologist in the state of Texas (CMRT) is required.
  • A.R.R.T. is required after 12 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
  • One year of previous experience in a hospital environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians, physicists, nursing units and other disciplines in making decisions regarding each patient's needs for care.
  • Move x-ray equipment into specified position and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time distance.
  • Perform imaging in multiple areas (diagnostic, OR, fluoroscopy, etc).
  • Assist the physician in diagnostic procedures.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
  • Be available to be onsite within 30 minutes of the call out when on call.
