Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • At least 2 or more (2+) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to bring creativity and originality to multimedia projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver products that align with client needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of trends in marketing and communications, especially in higher education and STEM fields.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for production of graphic design initiatives, photography, videography, motion graphics, presentations, and digital assets.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and makes recommendations for new digital assets or the modification of existing assets.
  • Provides art direction, design, and production of projects for a variety of internal clients.
  • Determines how to best represent a concept visually.
  • Follows all projects through to delivery.
  • Handles vendor selection, bids solicitation, and final ordering on all projects.
  • Art direct photographers on photo shoots for assigned projects.
  • Prepares graphic files for print production.
  • Handles press approvals for quality control.
  • Keeps current on design trends, emerging technologies, software and issues; shares that information with staff.
  • Recommends necessary equipment and software to accomplish department goals.
  • Understands editorial design and appropriate use of design elements such as illustration.
  • Understands and implements the university brand identity.
  • Helps maintain brand identity guidelines and assets.
  • Provides appropriate brand assets to internal and external constituents.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
