About The Position

FWI is building a team to provide comprehensive administrative, executive, programmatic, and analytical support to the National Science Foundation's Office of Legislative and Public Affairs (OLPA). As a Multimedia Developer/Designer/Producer, you will produce, shoot, edit, and deliver video content that communicates NSF's mission and scientific discoveries to diverse audiences. Position is contingent upon contract award Work Schedule and Location: Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with 90% onsite at NSF headquarters in Alexandria, VA

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in each of the following: video production, editing, and post-production
  • Experience setting lighting, doing videography, and audio recording in studio and on-site locations
  • Experience directing non-professional talent
  • Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro editing software and After Effects
  • Intermediate-level skills in Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience integrating on-camera and narration voices, music, and sound effects during editing process
  • Experience leading a crew in setup and operation of cameras, switcher, and web streaming equipment for on-location productions
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, produce, and direct live and recorded video productions at NSF HQ and on location
  • Set up and break down equipment, sets, props, lighting, audio, and prompter
  • Operate cameras during single and multi-camera productions and livestream events
  • Edit video productions using Adobe Premiere Pro, including scripted and non-scripted content
  • Create graphics, original artwork, and animations using Photoshop and After Effects
  • Integrate narration, music, and sound effects; color correct productions
  • Provide narration as needed to maintain production schedules
  • Write treatments and scripts in coordination with OLPA staff and researchers
  • Create and post video files to NSF and partner platforms, including metadata and closed captions
  • Satisfy internal and external requests for video content in requested formats
