About The Position

Works under general supervision of the Digital Communications Manager or Director of Communications & Community Relations performing technical duties recording video footage and creating video content to promoting the public image of the organization through recording of video footage, and a variety of technical tasks, including maintenance of video and file storage systems, logs, and records, in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of digital media and video production techniques, language, equipment, and applications

  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Skilled in digital and analog audio recording and editing
  • Skilled in setting up lighting in the studio or on location
  • Skilled in green screen lighting and capture
  • Skilled in digital video editing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to work on ladders and high places
  • Ability to work extended hours including nights and weekends

  • Work requires standing or walking 50-60% of the time
  • Some tasks may involve reaching, pulling, pushing, climbing, bending, or lifting (up to 75 lbs.)
  • AA/AS in Art, Graphic Art, or a related field; and
  • 1 to 3 years of experience working in television, radio, film, sound, or other related media arenas.
  • An equivalent level of education and experience may be substituted as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal announcement videos, external promotional social videos, product/services marketing videos, recruiting videos, employee training, and other enterprise-wide projects
  • Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating, and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voiceover/sfx, media management and archiving project media
  • Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content
  • Research projects, develop ideas and concepts, and write compelling scripts to serve a specific goal and a targeted audience
  • Plan video shoots; scout, select and reserve shoot locations
  • Find or develop music tracks and sound effects that help enhance the mood of the project
  • Serve as the audio/visual support technician
  • Design, create and update computer graphics and artwork for various video purposes
  • Take pictures with a digital camera for use in various forms of media creation
  • Manage and maintain video library
  • Use and update project management applications to keep project participants up to date
