The Multimedia Assistant (part-time) at the University of Massachusetts Lowell plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Multimedia and Production by creating engaging content and producing live events for the university's Division I intercollegiate athletics program. This position involves working closely with various teams to ensure high-quality broadcasts and promotional materials that enhance the visibility and brand of UMass Lowell Athletics.

  • Assist the Director in producing broadcasts for all home events on ESPN+, NESN, and AmericaEast.TV.
  • Produce features on student-athletes and coaches, as well as pre-game hype videos for basketball, hockey, and other select sports as necessary.
  • Help compile game highlights and build a video archive of key players through original shooting at games.
  • Produce social content and content for special events to spread brand awareness of UMass Lowell Athletics.
  • Travel with teams as necessary to provide video coverage of select events, including regular-season and post-season contests.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • One year working in a video production or related landscape.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work within a team environment.
  • Working knowledge and application of NCAA rules and regulations and procedures.
  • High-level video editing experience with Adobe Premiere/Final Cut; Adobe After Effects/Photoshop is preferred.
  • Experience working effectively in diverse environments.
