About The Position

JOB GOAL: To use leadership, supervisory and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent educational training/experience.
  • Minimum five years teaching experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Directly involved in program development.
  • Responsible for general leadership of the Department and Program.
  • Assists in the articulation and coordination with other levels.
  • Responsible for assessment of methods and materials within the Department.
  • Responsible for coordinating all elements of the hiring process and makes recommendations for positions.
  • Should be the initial screening interviewer of candidates.
  • Responsible for orientation and training of all new staff regarding Department regulations and program.
  • Develops the Department budget.
  • Supervises expenditures of appropriated budget.
  • Supervises the inventory, storage, use and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintains appropriate Departmental records.
  • Assists in the scheduling of students and classes when appropriate.
