The Multifamily Property Manager is responsible for assisting with the daily management of the assigned property consisting of residential and retail units. This position is a blend of day-to-day operations, resident and tenant relations and marketing, focused on ensuring the properties are financially successful, well-maintained, and a positive environment for residents and tenants. This person must be a motivator, a good communicator, and a hands-on manager. The Multifamily Property Manager must demonstrate strong organizational skills and must possess the ability handle a rapidly changing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Objectives of the Role Deliver timely, professional, and effective service to residents and tenants Lead leasing efforts, including responding to inquiries and providing accurate property information Manage and coordinate all maintenance requests, ensuring prompt resolution Develop and oversee the annual operating budget; monitor expenses, review monthly financial reports, and implement corrective actions as needed Prepare, review, and process all lease-related documentation; ensure new residents are properly onboarded in the property management system and units are move-in ready Maintain the property’s overall condition by implementing and adhering to maintenance and cleaning schedules, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and within budget Oversee unit turns, ensuring timely and high-quality preparation for new occupants Accurately enter and manage prospective resident data in AppFolio to support marketing and leasing conversion efforts Understand and apply property insurance policies, including claims procedures and loss prevention practices Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors on tenant improvements, capital projects, maintenance, and property upgrades All other tasks as assigned by supervisors
