About the position

As a General Manager at Victra, the largest Verizon authorized retailer in the United States, you will shape the guest experience by coaching your team to deliver their best to every guest, every time. You will be responsible for exceeding sales targets while maintaining operational excellence. Your role includes developing your Assistant General Manager and helping them learn leadership skills. You will thrive in a competitive atmosphere and enjoy helping others grow to their full potential. Your high level of accountability will cover all retail store functions, and you will communicate and implement the company vision through directing day-to-day activities of the store staff. You will focus on optimizing customer and employee experiences, act as a mentor, complete trainings, and attend weekly sales leadership calls.

Responsibilities

  • Building, developing, and mentoring your sales team.
  • Working through teams to teach, coach and follow the sales process with Every Guest Every Time.
  • Attracting and retaining top caliber employees.
  • Acting as a brand advocate for Victra.
  • Providing ongoing sales training and support for your team to exceed sales, retention, quality, and service objectives.
  • Engaging in sales strategy development to ensure products and services are effectively showcased.
  • Ensuring store employees meet and/or exceed defined monthly success measurements and complete assigned training on time.
  • Developing and implementing sales tools and initiatives.
  • Maintaining store performance by running retail inventory compliance.
  • Engaging in business operations including budgeting, forecasting, analyzing and providing sales reports.
  • Thinking of innovative ways to drive traffic in stores and capitalizing on the existing customer base.
  • Owning store success and taking ownership for store employees' work-related needs.
  • Owning all guest escalations and providing timely resolutions.
  • Clearly communicating company objectives and priorities to team members.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a retail sales environment, with 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • Management experience in a commissions-based sales environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving challenging team and individual sales goals.
  • Ability to balance multiple opposing priorities in a multifaceted environment.
  • Experience in setting goals, evaluating performance, and developing a high performing team.
  • Basic interview skills and enhanced staffing knowledge.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One or more years of customer service experience, preferably in a retail or sales environment.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during peak vacation periods.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
