About The Position

Spartan Steel Coatings is hiring a Multi-Trade Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability and plant uptime. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. We're looking for a proactive, safety-focused professional with strong technical skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Proficient in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and mechanical repair
• Strong electrical background, including PLC troubleshooting and programming
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards including Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and confined space procedures
• Competent in using meters, tools, and basic computer systems

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and program PLC systems (Allen-Bradley preferred); interpret ladder logic
• Execute welding and fabrication tasks with minimal supervision
• Maintain accurate records in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E and all plant safety protocols
• Support maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems
• Perform additional duties as assigned
