About The Position

The Multiskilled Radiology Technologist / CT Technologist at MedStar Health is responsible for conducting a variety of radiographic examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patient conditions. This role requires independent judgment and technical skills to operate radiological equipment and produce diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The position also includes leadership responsibilities for the Radiology department associates, emphasizing high-quality imaging and compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• 3-4 years' experience in the registry post-primary pathway certification preferred.
• ARRT Registry, NMTCB or ARDMS status in relevant registries maintained.
• Active Maryland state licensure.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in multiple modalities such as MRI, CT, Mammography, etc.
• Certification in Healthcare Quality Management (CHCQM).

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of radiographic examinations for diagnostic purposes.
• Operate radiological equipment to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray images as directed by physicians.
• Prepare and administer contrast agents to patients as authorized by Radiologists.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure proper patient identification.
• Perform examination completion in RIS and PACS, ensuring images are processed and archived correctly.
• Maintain departmental facilities in compliance with infection control policies.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Radiology department associates.
