About The Position

At Securitas, on-site Security Officers are the foundation of our organization. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for a PERC Security Officer License in the State of Illinois.
Must have a high school diploma or GED or be willing to complete the GED program within six months.
Must have average to above average computer skills.
Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift.
Will require open/flexible availability (nights, weekends, & holidays included).
Valid drivers license and a clean driving record needed (this position does require driver certification).
Reliable transportation required (public transportation is not recommended for this position).
Reliable form of communication needed.
Must be comfortable with frequent standing / walking which may be for long periods of time and may involve climbing stairs / walking up inclines and/or being in various weather elements.
Must be willing to participate in the Company's Security Officer pre-employment screening process, including drug screen (mouth swab and/or urinalyses) and background investigation (drub screen includes THC).
Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

Nice To Haves

Customer service background preferred.
Security experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Conflict resolution and De-escalation.
Secure entrances / patrol inside and outside the client's premises.
Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
Identify and report safety issues or hazardous conditions.
Clearly and quickly report any suspicious activity.
Provide detailed written witness reports.
