About The Position

The Multi-Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager at Amazon is responsible for providing WHS support across multiple sites within a designated region. This role focuses on executing company safety policies, ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety. The manager will work closely with operations teams to build trust, conduct risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement best practices to foster a safe and healthful working environment for all associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 3+ years of experience in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing or service operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.

Nice To Haves

• Distribution Center or manufacturing safety experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including pivot tables and chart development.
• Ability to manage multiple sites remotely.

Responsibilities

• Provide WHS support to multiple sites and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
• Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
• Analyze WHS metrics and review incident trends to allocate resources effectively.
• Perform frequent site safety audits to identify non-compliance and implement solutions.
• Audit record-keeping practices to align with global safety standards.
• Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained on their responsibilities under WHS policies.
• Seek input from teams and Associates on safety program improvements and ensure open communication.
• Measure sites' performance against WHS policies and identify plans for improvement.
