Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-site Plant Controller to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Plant Managers and SBU Controller of Hollow Metal, providing insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and driving forward-looking strategic decision making within the division of the Hollow Metal business unit. You will be a key contributor to the overall success of the organization by leveraging your financial expertise and business acumen to influence critical decisions and drive financial performance. This role requires collaboration across a matrixed organization partnering with Operations, Sales, Engineering among other groups. This leader must also possess strong accounting, financial analysis, internal control, planning, and reporting skills as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This role will also serve on the leadership team of a manufacturing location and have controllership over the site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7-10 years of experience in the finance function of a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, presentation skills, and ability to explain and communicate financial results to management in an understandable and actionable format for decision-making purposes
  • Strong computer and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Partner and drive business results with cross-functional leadership teams
  • Monthly financial reporting and analysis in compliance with GAAP
  • Maintain strong internal controls in accordance with GAAP, internal accounting policies and SOX
  • Understand and communicate opportunities and risks to the business, drive towards financial improvements
  • Lead the forecasting and planning processes for the business unit, working closely with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and assumptions.
  • Work collaboratively on capital business plans
  • Partner with management on operational and working capital metrics
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive effective decision making and enhance business performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Plant Managers and SBU Controller to understand the business goals, objectives, and challenges
  • Manage month-end close process and communicate business drivers and results to General Management and Finance Leadership, including reporting results on Day 3 call.
  • Identify and execute process improvements and digital/lean transformation opportunities
  • Create a collaborative and engaging team environment for a team of two while encouraging their growth and development
  • Full financial responsibility for west coast region Hollow Metal sites
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate across the organization and positively influence business outcomes
