Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The MPD department is seeking a FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) Engineer II to join our team. We are looking for candidates who are eager to collaborate, innovate, and work alongside our talented engineering teams. In this role, you will leverage advanced technologies to create cutting – edge solutions for sensor and effector products. You will partner with experienced, multidisciplinary teams to define requirements, develop architecture, execute details design and simulations, and perform integration and verification tasks. You will document your designs within the appropriate configuration management tools and provide comprehensive engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) Major is required.
  • This position requires 12months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Analog, Digital Electronics, Mixed Signal, Circuit Design or Analysis, Power Electronics, VHDL, FPGA, Electrical Components, Digital Signal Processing, or PCB design.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience with VHDL or Verilog coding, simulation, and synthesis.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Full Lifecycle support of production quality FPGA
  • Generate FPGA Designs
  • Design and Code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability
  • Create complete documentation including requirements, verification plan, and users guides
