About The Position

Adventist Outpatient Imaging Services seeks to hire an experienced Multi-Modality Vascular Ultrasound Technologist who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist, you will: • Performs clinical assessments and produces high quality vascular sonographic images to provide accurate data for the Interventional Radiologists and Radiologists. Enters preliminary findings and impression into documentation systems. • Performs other non-invasive vascular tests including portable studies as necessary. • Uses computer systems (Cerner, Viewpoint, McKesson PACS and Hconnect) correctly to document patient information. • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients on their assigned unit/department. Assumes responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all patients in the sonographic area/department. • Coordinates with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided. Anticipates patient’s needs and exceeds expectations. • Reports equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member and completes associated forms or phone calls. • Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations. Maintains schedule and prioritizes exams. • Demonstrates cost effectiveness in the sue of supplies and equipment as indicated by minimal wastage of supplies • Participates in departmental PI initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school or GED
  • Graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Medical sonography program.
  • RVT required, or must be obtained within 2 years of start date.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
  • RDMS preferred.
