About The Position

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Multi-Modality Technologist who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist, you will: Perform CT examinations and diagnostic x-rays, to include portable exams when indicated, in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists. Will fulfill primary modality’s duties to include on call and holiday as required. Secondary modality’s duties to be fulfilled as needed. Demonstrates proficiency in operating imaging equipment and other related equipment according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Understand principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast. Identifies contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognizes symptoms of IV contrast reactions. Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects scanning protocols in order to maximize quality and safe patient care. Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems applicable to CT and diagnostic x-ray (HIS, RIS, PACS, Telelradiography, image reformatting) Maximize patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume including the transport of patients to and/or from CT/X-Ray as necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment. Provides general patient care as necessary within the Imaging Department. Assist in orienting and training of new employees and students Participate in performance improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school or GED
  • Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography
  • 1 year CT experience
  • State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license,
  • ARRT (R) (CT)
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

  • 1 year MM experience preferred
