About The Position

The Multi Modality Technologist position at Walworth Hospital and Medical Center involves various responsibilities related to imaging and patient care. The role requires maintaining active status in the modalities practiced, providing clinical leadership, and completing advanced level clinical duties as requested. Technologists will prepare patients for procedures, ensuring they understand the process to minimize anxiety and achieve desired results. They will also select and operate imaging equipment and accessories to perform procedures effectively.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• ARRT Computed Tomography registration preferred (or must be obtained within one year of hire)
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois
• WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains active status in the modalities in which they practice.
• Assists the department coordinator by providing clinical leadership, completing projects, and regular assignments as requested.
• Is competent in all exams performed within the assigned modalities.
• Corroborates patient clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist.
• Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
• Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
