From illnesses and injuries to more serious or life-threatening conditions, our world-class care team is fully equipped to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time. The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is excited to expand imaging services at our brand-new Kiawah Pavilion ER, bringing world-class care closer to the local community. We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Multi-Modality Technologist to join our growing imaging team. In this role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities with a focus on delivering safe, high-quality exams and compassionate patient care. Working in a state-of-the-art facility, you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to ensure accurate results and an exceptional patient experience. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • 2 years minimum experience in diagnostic imaging & CT.
  • Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be familiar with age specific criteria.
  • Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) & South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).
  • Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT) (R) & Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Nice To Haves

  • experience in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams in both modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Multi-modality technologist provides quality imaging and patient care within X-ray and CT.
  • Technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed.
  • Technologist must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner.
