About The Position

We are seeking experienced Imaging Professionals to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care, utilizing your clinical expertise, and collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team. The Fond du Lac campus will have emergency care, 10 inpatient beds, and 24/7 coverage with board-certified emergency medicine physicians. For patients requiring additional care, observation and tests, Computed Tomography (CT) scans, x-ray, and ultrasound services will be provided. At the direction of a radiologist and/or other providers, prepares patients, performs imaging procedures and operates imaging equipment. Performs diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
  • Wisconsin License.
  • American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • One-year experience in 2 or more imaging modalities AND advanced certification in MRI, CT, or mammography within 18 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional, empathetic, and compassionate care to team members, patients, families, and significant others.
  • Greets patients and their families, assists patients with dressing/undressing, transports or ambulates patients, and assists patients with comfort needs.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of equipment and safety practices in the areas of responsibility.
  • Exhibits competency and skills needed to perform radiology procedures according to manufacturer, medical/department standards and protocols.
  • Demonstrates competency in intravenous access and administration of contrast in accordance with established protocols.
  • Completes department tasks such as stocking supplies, checking outdated supplies, performing safety audits or tracking, and cleaning rooms and equipment.
  • Provides practical instruction for patients, families, and other health care professionals.
  • Applies critical thinking skills and ensures order accuracy when triaging and prioritizing patients.
  • Practices safety at all times, adhering to ALARA principles for proper radiation safety.
  • Completes documentation on time and accurately in accordance with department policy/procedure.
