About The Position

Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! The Multi-modality Technologist I position is located at the Frisco Ambulatory Surgical Center. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role involves performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols, providing intraoperative imaging support in surgical and procedural suites, and applying radiation safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT (R) certification required.
  • Texas Medical Board BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Knowledge of pediatric anatomy and positioning techniques.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Provide intraoperative imaging support in surgical and procedural suites, including use of mobile C-arm fluoroscopy equipment.
  • Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self in compliance with ALARA and hospital safety policies.
  • Prepare and position pediatric patients appropriately, using immobilization devices safely and effectively when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with medical providers and radiologists to ensure imaging meets diagnostic and procedural requirements.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment; promptly report issues to biomedical or service personnel.
  • Verify and document accurate patient information in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory, supplies, and readiness of OR imaging equipment and accessories.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours imaging and surgical cases as needed.
  • Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients and families consistent with the hospital’s child-friendly environment.
  • Support and participate in quality assurance (QA), safety rounds, and continuing education activities.
  • Adhere to infection control, patient privacy (HIPAA), and hospital safety policies.
