The X-Ray and CT Technologist position involves performing a combination of imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by licensed independent practitioners. Requirements

• Certification and Registration with ARRT, RDMS, or CNMT (required).
• Competency in 2 of the specified modalities and obtain certification within 12 months.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (required at hire for specific locations).
• State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state).
• Associate's degree from an accredited institute or approved program (preferred).
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform duties for any 2 imaging modalities (e.g., XR, CT, MRI).
• Meet continuing education or clinical requirements as required by regulatory standards.
• Operate equipment and accessories, knowledgeable in workflows, procedures, and processes of the 2 imaging modalities.
• Select appropriate imaging/sequences considering approved protocols and data acquisition parameters.
• Obtain patient's clinical history and appropriate lab work, ensuring documentation is available for licensed practitioner use.
• Apply safety principles to minimize risk to patients and others.
• Provide radiation protection specific to the 2 modalities for patients and others.
• Verify patient identification using two identifiers and the procedure requested or prescribed.
• Perform venipuncture when required by either of the 2 modalities.
• Identify, prepare, and/or administer medications/contrast as prescribed by a licensed practitioner when required.
• Use a power injector for medication administration with approved vascular access device when required.
• Scheduled for on-call as required.
