About The Position

The Multi-Modality Technologist I provides diagnostic imaging in multiple specialties in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Spends a minimum of 25% of time practicing in secondary discipline.

Requirements

  • Accredited Program: Imaging (Required)
  • ARRT_American Registry of Radiology Tech (ARRT)
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD)
  • BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD)
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA)
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE)
  • BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • One (1) year of technologist experience in a hospital setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in either of the following within one (1) year of hire date: Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI).

Responsibilities

  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
  • Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
  • Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
  • Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure(s).
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies.
  • Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Assists with preparation and administration of contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
