About The Position

The Multi-Media Producer / Investigative Producer at FOX 6 News is responsible for creating impactful stories for both broadcast and digital platforms. This role emphasizes innovation in storytelling, particularly for digital audiences, and requires quick reactions to breaking news situations. The producer will collaborate with the Investigative team to develop enterprise stories and manage livestreams, ensuring content is engaging and shareable.

Requirements

• College degree (preferably in Journalism)
• Minimum of two years producing experience working at a commercial television station or digital news operation
• Well-versed in all aspects of journalism, from online to working sources through social networking
• Strong news judgment and storytelling skills

Responsibilities

• Produce stories with impact, suitable for broadcast and streaming platforms
• Think innovatively to create engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences on their preferred media platforms
• Work beyond the conventional broadcast time constraints to tell stories that demand attention
• Display exceptional organizational and writing skills to execute tasks efficiently and effectively
• Demonstrate agility and confidence when working under tight deadlines
• Collaborate with the Investigative Team to generate enterprise stories from inception to final presentation
• Conduct research, schedule interviews, delve into data analytics, and coordinate all production phases for the Investigative team
• Assist with news gathering including source building, hidden camera work and filing public records request
• Curate investigative stories to showcase on streaming platforms
