Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 2+ years experience in furnace operation.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
• Proficiency with using tools and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• String payoff; point, weld, and grind material as applicable
• Set up die boxes, ensuring proper alignment, die selection, and lubricants
• Set up by measuring wire diameter between die boxes
• Inspect material during processing to ensure proper quality is maintained
• Complete all documentation and turn in a work order to the supervisor
• Know how to die set-ups and basic scheduling techniques
• Set up and run more than one machine when needed, i.e. BB-14, BB-22, HRD
• Ensure work area is clean and excess materials are properly tagged
• Properly use a micrometer
• Train new operators, if necessary
• Cut samples for quality control
• Operate a crane and a forklift
• Assist the production manager and other operators as needed
• Other duties as assigned
