The Multihole operator will be responsible for the set up and operation of the Multihole Machine. This includes continuously monitoring speed, coating level and wire surface quality. Additionally, the operator will become proficient in the various job specific skills required by a Multihole Operator.

Requirements

  • Ability to set up and operate Multihole Machine, including continuously monitoring speed, coating level, and wire surface quality
  • Proficiency in various job specific skills required by a Multihole Operator
  • Ability to read work orders/bill of materials and product specifications
  • Ability to use and maintain various types of equipment and machinery
  • Ability to report/communicate machinery issues
  • Ability to inspect products for quality using measuring tools (tape measure, micrometer, tensile test machine)
  • Ability to use forklifts, cranes, and hand carts
  • Ability to record and document production and downtime
  • Ability to ensure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines, including daily safety inspections
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to inspect material during processing to ensure proper quality
  • Ability to complete all documentation
  • Ability to train new operators
  • Ability to cut samples for quality control
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to read SDS’s to familiarize with chemicals used
  • Authorization to request the initiation of an internal corrective action
  • Ability to place material on hold and stop production when nonconforming wire is found
  • Ability to complete all assigned training, including monthly health and safety sessions
  • Ability to adjust machinery including changing dies, speed and temperature
  • Ability to consistently string payoff; point weld, and grind material as applicable
  • Ability to consistently set up by measuring wire diameter between each draw
  • Ability to monitor wire quality
  • Ability to focus on machines that need constant attention
  • Ability to work in various temperature environments
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment
  • Ability to maintain focus on safety, quality and productivity
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to assist production manager and other operators as necessary
  • Ability to communicate – verbal and written
  • Ability to perform basic math functions with accuracy
  • Basic computer skills for data entry purposes
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders/bill of materials to determine product specifications
  • Responsible for quantity and quality to meet efficiency rates
  • Use and maintain various types of equipment and machinery
  • Report/communicate machinery issues to supervisor/maintenance
  • Inspect products to ensure product excellence and quality using measuring tools (tape measure/micrometer/tensile test machine)
  • Obtain all required approvals
  • Label packages
  • Use of forklifts, cranes, and hand carts to load/unload machine and to move material to and from machines
  • Record and document production as well as all downtime
  • Ensure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines, including carrying out daily safety inspections
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Inspect material during processing to ensure proper quality is maintained
  • Complete all documentation and turn in work order to the supervisor
  • Train new operators
  • Cut samples for quality control
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
