Lockheed Martin is seeking a Multi-Functional Manufacturing Supervisor (Level 3) to lead a team of 8-10 hourly bargaining unit associates in C-130J Final Assembly production. This role is instrumental in ensuring cost, schedule, and quality performance, while implementing lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Requirements

  • 3 yrs Supervisory &/or leadership experience.
  • Aircraft manufacturing &/or production experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years aircraft production experience.
  • Experience in a union environment.
  • Experience in budgeting and staffing.
  • Shop Floor Manager (SFM) experience.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally, in writing, and in group settings as a member or leader.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical, non-technical, and business staff at all levels.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft business suite with the ability to learn additional computer systems.
  • Proficient Qualsight or Appriso.
  • Knowledge of C-130 assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 8-10 hourly bargaining unit associates in C-130J Final Assembly production.
  • Oversee employee training, performance management, and compliance documentation.
  • Partner with human resources and union stewards to address and resolve employee-related matters.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Set and prioritize tasks to support and exceed production schedules.
  • Conduct investigations and problem resolution activities as required.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and quality performance to meet business objectives.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to ensure operational alignment.
  • Ensure adherence to company ethics, business practices, and environmental, safety, and health (ESH) standards.
  • Participate in meetings, reporting, and extended-hour support as needed.
